Meshdynamics
Robust Wireless Security
Hackers, Phishers, and Wardrivers are major concerns in outdoor wireless networks today. Powerful and dynamic security methods are needed to help keep network data secure and to prevent unauthorized access. Early Wi-Fi products lacked robust security. Intended for an indoor environment, some security measures (such as WEP -- the Wired Equivalent Privacy) could be easily "cracked" by a malicious snooper.
Meshdynamics' MD4000 STRUCTURED MESH TM Wireless Mesh Nodes incorporate a variety of industry-standard and interoperable security protocols, including WEP, WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access), and the more-powerful Wi-Fi Protected Access 2 (WPA2), the second generation of WPA security. WPA2 is based on the IEEE 802.11i amendment to the 802.11 standard.

Military Spec. FIPS 140/2 Certification has been awarded to Meshdynamics.

  FIPS Certifiicate.

For added over-the-air security, data encryption is also supported, including Temporal Key Integrity Protocol (TKIP) and Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). This degree of data security is key for enterprise and government deployment of 802.11 wireless mesh in outdoor environments.
